The 15th International Agricultural Trade Fair of Technology AGROTECH was held on 13 – 15 March. The premises of Kielce Trade Fairs turned into Poland's largest exhibition of farming and forestry equipment. It was also one of major European agricultural and forestry event.

Almost 500 exhibitors from 13 countries presented over 800 models of cutting-edge machinery and equipment for field work and 200 models of tractors including innovative solar powered machines for organic farming, and consultation points for farmers were presented on 40 000 square meters on XV International Agricultural Trade Fair of Technology in Kielce this year. Simultaneously the Wood and Forest Management of Resources LAS-EXPO were held.  

AGROTECH and LAS-EXPO is one of the largest events in Poland and in Europe. Previous edition of the fair brought almost 35 000 exhibition visitors, farmers from all over the country and its neighbors countries, contractors, experts in the field of agricultural technology, agricultural attaché accredited in Poland, and students of agricultural schools. This year, organizers can be proud because of new record, the list of exhibitors was significantly bigger compare to last year and number of visitors was almost 50 000 farmers.

At the AGROTECH farmers could see modern equipment and facilities for agriculture, including all brands of tractors available on the Polish agricultural market and a wide range of agricultural equipment presented by Polish manufacturers and dealers of foreign corporations. Popularity for AGROTECH ensure fair world premiere on the Polish market.

During the event consultation points were running in which farmers could obtain information about EU grants for the purchase of machinery and the modernization of farms and arable area. Specialists provided advices from the Agency for Restructurization and Modernization of Agriculture, Agricultural Advisory Center, the Chamber of Agriculture and the Agricultural Social Insurance Fund.

AGROTECH each year award prestigious prize - Agricultural Machinery of the Year, award by the Institute of Building Mechanization and Electrification of Agriculture. This year  the Award 'Farming Machine of 2009' in the category 'Polish equipment' was given for the compact disc harrows manufactured by BURY Maszyny Rolnicze, Wojciech Bury, Kutno for the innovative solutions as well as its the solid and compact design.

The title of The Award 'Farming Machine of 2009' in the category 'Imported equipment' was given for the farming tractor T6080 manufactured by CNH UK Ltd., entered by CNH Polska Sp. z o.o., Plock, for the new technical solutions, aesthetical value of the design, and its high performance parameters.

Special Award of the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development for the implementation of the most innovative solutions for the agricultural sector this year was accounted to DeLaval Sp. z o.o., Wroclaw, for the milking robot DeLaval VMS

Medals of Agtrotech Fair Kielce 2009 received:

* Zaklady Chemiczne POLICE S.A., for the complex granular fertilizer Poliazot;

* PUP "POMOT" Sp. z o.o., Chojna, for the waste remover T 525 with a capacity of 25,000 litres, featuring a dished disk unit;

* CASE IH, Austria, for the tractor PUMA CVX;

* Wacker Neuson Sp. z o.o., Weidemann Branch, Jawczyce, for the loader Weidemann HOFTRAC 1350cx45 manufactured by WEIDEMANN GmbH Germany;

* AGCO Sp. z o.o., Paczków, for the farming tractor Valtra T202 Versu manufactured by Valtra Inc., Finland;

* Institute of Building, Mechanization and Electrification of Agriculture, Warsaw, for the design of a rotational opener for ecological farming.

Simultaneously to AGROTECH Exhibition took place the Wood and Forest Management of Resources LAS-EXPO. This exhibition promotes innovative techniques related to the wood. Exhibitors represent not only the tools and machinery used in the transport and protection of wood, but also protection against pests, maps and advanced information systems. LAS-EXPO Trade Fair is a meeting place of the wood and forestry - sectors cooperating with each other in the obtaining and use of raw wood.

Medals of LAS-EXPO Fair Kielce 2009 received:
